Do You Have Passion?
Entrepreneurs are amazing people. They have vision for their success and drive themselves hard to achieve it.
One question I get all the time is what separates an entrepreneurial success from a failure. Obviously there are multiple answers to this query. Much of what determines success and failure depends on circumstance. Every new business venture is faced with significant challenges. Many of them seem impossible to resolve. I promise you, every entrepreneur has been challenged and considered whether it’s worth chasing their dream.
The one common thread I find that separates the successes from the failures is passion. An entrepreneur that is passionate to fulfill their dream of a successful venture is far more likely to succeed than one that has a great idea, but is distracted and not confident.
When faced with seemingly insurmountable challenges, a passionate entrepreneur faces the situation and sees the potential solutions, instead of potential ways to fail. When hit by potential failure, they brush themselves off and get up to continue the fight. Failure is not an option!
Do passionate entrepreneurs fail? Sure, we all do. However, that passion they possess and the tenacity that comes with it helps them resolve issues that are seemingly irresolvable.
So, ask yourself this: Where’s your passion? Are you passionate about the success of your business? If yes, congratulations. You are far more likely to succeed. If not, ask yourself why you lost your passion.
Everyone can lose the passion for success in a business venture. The key is to find out why it’s gone and how to bring it back. Often, when launching a venture, I find bringing in a trusted adviser that I can bounce ideas off of helps me restore my vision and passion. Talking with someone about the challenges you face will often rekindle that drive and ambition you once had. It’s an amazing thing!
So, take inventory of your passion level. If you don’t feel the same drive and ambition you felt earlier in your venture, talk it through with a friend. Spend some time brainstorming. In most cases, you’ll find yourself “back in the game” and heading down the road to success!
Have a successful week!
